About the author

Md. Kamruzzaman Khan is Deputy Manager for Network Planning and Implementation at SSD-TECH (AS63526) in Dhaka, Bangladesh. He has spent eleven years in service provider operations, and his writing draws on that operational vantage point, with research interests in routing resilience, Internet measurement, and rural connectivity models. He is a 2026 Internet Society Mid-Career Fellow and an APNIC Foundation BCAP fellow on the Network Operations Advanced track, attended APNIC 61 as an APNIC Fellow, and presented research on IPv6 deployment trends across the LAC region at LACNIC 44 . His paper on privacy-first approaches to IP geolocation is cited in the IAB IP Geolocation Workshop report, and he is currently pursuing an M.Sc. in Computer Science and Engineering at North South University.
