BalticNOG (Baltic Network Operators Group) is a newly established non-profit initiative dedicated to fostering collaboration and knowledge sharing among network professionals in the Baltic region and beyond. It aims to connect operators, engineers, and researchers, providing a platform for discussions on internet infrastructure, security, and best practices.
The Baltic networking community now has a dedicated collaboration and knowledge-sharing platform - BalticNOG (Baltic Network Operators Group). This newly established non-profit initiative aims to unite network professionals across the Baltic region and beyond, fostering discussions on Internet infrastructure, security, and best practices. BalticNOG will serve as a meeting point for operators, engineers, and researchers, helping to strengthen regional connectivity while contributing to the global internet landscape.
“Many regions already have strong NOGs that drive industry discussions and collaboration. We saw the need for a similar space in the Baltics and wanted to create a dedicated forum for professionals in our region. With BalticNOG, we hope to bring together experts, encourage innovation, and address the challenges that impact our networks.” Vincentas Grinius, President and Co-founder of BalticNOG
Co-founder Donatas Abraitis highlighted the importance of local engagement:
“While the internet is a global network, strong local communities are what make it resilient. BalticNOG will give network operators, engineers, and researchers a space to learn from each other, collaborate, and improve the way we manage and scale internet infrastructure in our region.”
