This dataset consists of a daily snapshot of the reverse zones (in-addr.arpa and ip6.arpa) as published by the RIRs on their public FTP servers in the /pub/zones/ directory. The RIRs use this data operationally. The zones under in-addr.arpa and ip6.arpa are assembled from these files.

This is a nice dataset, thanks for making it available.
I noticed (taking the 20100811 archive) that in the "arin" subdirectory, there are both the unpacked files and two versions of sub-archives, ARIN.in-addr.arpa.tar and ARIN.in-addr.arpa.tar.gz. I verified that these are completely redundant and can be removed with no loss of information. That would reduce the size of the entire archive significantly:

-rw-r--r-- 1 leinen wheel 75469506 11 Aug 18:37 in-addr.arpa-20100811-less-redundancy.tar.bz2
-rw-r--r-- 1 leinen wheel 192364964 11 Aug 08:41 in-addr.arpa-20100811.tar.bz2
Nice resource, but I am afraid that something is missing, for example (AFAIK) RIPE/66.212.in-addr.arpa Is it possibile to have a check ?
